What services do Auntie Katies offer?
We provide childcare services and entertainment to children at weddings. We look after everything from bottles, to nappies, to getting them dress for bed time.
We also help capture those adorable smiles by getting the children’s attention for those all-important photos and sit with them during the ceremony and meal times, ensuring they’re involved in every special moment.
We have eyes on the children at all times so you don't have to worry. We don't take them away from the big day, the children stay around and enjoy the day too.
How long do you mind the children for?
This varies on the needs of your and your family. Our minimum package is 6 hours to 48 hours, with our 24 hour package the most popular.
The latest we work is 1am. After this it needs to be an overnight package
Do we work with children with additional needs?
Yes we care for children with additional needs. All of our staff have experience working with children with additional needs.
We have worked with children who have Autism, Down Syndrome, Epilepsy, Diabetic.
Prior to the wedding, we will organize a phone call to go through the child's medical needs and where possible we will try our best to meet you and the child before the wedding to discuss care plans.
How experienced are your staff members?
All our staff hold a minimum of a QQI 5 in childcare.
We have primary school teachers, Room leaders and people who have worked in childcare for years on our team.
Where are we based?
We are based in Cork but we cover weddings through out Ireland and we also cover international weddings.
How far in advance should we book your services?
Our 2025 and 2026 diary is open.
We recommend booking as early as possible to secure your date, especially during peak wedding season.
Can parents check in on their children during the event?
We don’t take children away from the wedding; they are part of the celebration. Our staff keeps parents informed with regular updates, letting them know if the children have gone to bed or are exploring the venue with us, ensuring you’re always in the loop.
How many children can you facilitate?
We can catered to as few as 1 child up to groups of 14 or 15 children depending on availability.
We have also looked after children as young as 5 weeks old and we accommodate children of all ages. Please note that larger groups require advance booking and are subject to staff availability.

Do you meet the children before the day?
99% of the time we do not meet the children before the wedding (with exception to children with additional needs).
We arrange a phone/video call before your date and we chat with you and the children about what you would like for the wedding day and how we can help make things runs smoothly.
How much is your service?
Our packages vary depending on the number of children, the package you choose, and the location of your wedding. For more information on pricing, please feel free to contact us.
Is a deposit required?
Yes! We require a €150 deposit, which is non-refundable.
