Over the years, Katie was asked to babysit at weddings for families she had worked with in the crèche, and from that, the idea of starting a wedding childcare business was born. Katie recalls, “One night, I was speaking to a friend about minding kids at weddings, and that night I created the Auntie Katie’s Facebook page. I’ve never looked back.”

Katie and her team love helping families on their special day. Her dedication and care are at the heart of Auntie Katie’s, always ensuring the children are her top priority. Her passion for what she does is evident in everything she does!

From starting the business on her own in 2021 to now running a multi-award-winning service with 13 staff members, covering all of Ireland and even abroad, Katie reflects, “It’s been a pleasure every step of the way.”

With a fully booked-out 2024 and a busy 2025 ahead, Katie can confidently say that starting Auntie Katie’s was the best decision she’s ever made.

All of our staff are childcare-trained and Garda-vetted, with many also being SNA-trained. We have experience working with children with ASD, Down Syndrome, diabetes, epilepsy, and more—nothing is too much for us!
